Description
‘Views from the studio window’ is Andrew Barrowman’s first book depicting the changing landscape as viewed from his studio window over the course of a Pandemic year.
His studio at Krowji in Cornwall has stunning views towards St Agnes Beacon on the North coast. During the year he painted 120 oil studies documenting the changeable weather and light over the Cornish landscape as it changed through the seasons.
Andrew is a landscape painter who’s practice is built around direct observation and working en plein air. He is out sketching most days in all weathers gathering reference material for his paintings. The oil studies in the book were a way of practicing plein air painting – from the studio!
Andrew recently won the highly regarded Bowyer Drawing Prize 2021 at the New English Art Club exhibition held at the Mall Galleries and was Highly Commended at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists 2021 exhibition.
Book is soft cover with 60 Full Colour inner pages.
